Follow the candle numbering scheme in the picture above. Bars in candlestick charts are numbered from right to left starting at candle 0. CPR recognizes a pattern formation starting at candle 1, as soon as it is completed. Candle 1 is the most recent, reliable, and complete candle. At the time of recognition candle 0 is still in progress and incomplete, so it can not be used as the starting point. In a single candle formation like the Dragonfly doji, candle 1 is the recognized pattern. In a 2-candle formation candles 1 and 2 are the recognized formation. The 3-, 4-, and 5-candle formations follow the same candle numbering system. CPR recognizes candlestick formations incessantly as long as the computer is on. In fact formation changes are detected every clock tick. |
