Candlestick Pattern Recognition (CPR) solely uses the 5-minute time frame. In a normal screen the time frame displays about 96 candles each candle representing 5 minutes of market activity. Therefore, the screen displays 8 hours of market activity (96 candles X 5 minutes / 60 minutes). The screen setup is perfect for the trader who is unable to stay on the computer constantly. CPR partitions the screen into 4, each partition holding 24 candles. In the picture above, the candles between the red vertical lines are the partitions, each partition therefore, representing 2 hours of market activity. CPR adjusts the partitions constantly, the first partition always starting at candle 1. Candle 0 is in work in progress and therefore can not be included in the development of a pattern. CPR allows you to visualize what the market is doing within each 2-hour partition. |
